Langley Politics Dotcomments

That might explain why Mrs Mouse and I have only seen Mark W. and Andrew Claxton (the NDP guy) in the Ft. Langley and Aldergrove parades. Mind you, I might wonder about the visibility of the Green candidate in Langley as well.

I've been wondering why young Jake has been so quite. I thought it had more to do with Dion not wanting to face the electorate. But a job is a job and that's completely understandable.

If this is true, it does raise the question as to who might be next in line. Is Brooks still around?

Perhaps Sam is looking for something to do?

Knowing both of their present business activity, I would say Brooks and Sam are out.

I also hear Al Peterson has moved on.

How about Karen Kersey, in an effort to bring attention to her pro-pot leanings?

Bring it on!

Who cares?

The federal Liberal leader can't even manage his own party leadership money properly.

Moved on? Isn't Al the president?

I heard that he quit the party in disgust when he found out that fedreal Liberal MPs called for a "knife registry" as a result of the knife attack and beheading of the man on the Greyhound bus in Manitoba.

I haven't moved on yet, not until the AGM in September

What about Jake?

Speaking of gibberish I see the Vancouver Sun ran an article this morning with a headline predicting a major meltdown in the Arctic due to carbon emissions. It isn't until you read the last paragraph that you find out that in reality the Arctic ice is predicted to melt by much less this summer than last summer.

Arctic ice always melts some in the summer, but the Global Warming Industry would have us believe it's always a catastrophe. And the picture accmpanying the article showed (you guessed it) Polar Bears clinging to small sheets of ice.

"The sky is falling" sensationalized news reports like these scare the crap out of the uninformed masses, and are what drive weak kneed, vote seeking politicians to come up with draconian placebos such as carbon taxes, and carbon credit trading to prove that they're "doing something useful" to fight the problem.

BTW Dion's carbon tax is just like the National Energy Program all over again. He means to rob money from energy producing western Canada to hand over to Quebec and other tax sucking provinces back east.

It had nothing to do with the knife attack but if you want to find out about Jake ask him don't guess.

"but if you want to find out about Jake ask him don't guess."

I have sent Jake an e-mail asking just that.

But wait a minute. Can't the president or someone else on the the executive of the association tell us if we have a Liberal candidate or not. It might be important to those who have volunteered for Jake or contributed dollars to his campaign only to find out that he might not be the go to guy.

Sam...can you tell us?

Jake is no longer running, the new executive will have to organize a Candidate selection meeting with the green light committee. It was very disappointing when Jake told us but I guess making money is more important. Hopefully we can find a new candidate before an election is called.

"It was very disappointing when Jake told us but I guess making money is more important."

WOW, what a statement. Nothing like condeming a person for not taking one for the team.

Maybe they'll rename the Petrocan stations DIONCO?

It was disappointing because I felt that Jake had a good chance of beating Warawa. The Liberals are going to rule in Langley and it's going to be sooner than later.

The Liberals winning a seat in the Langley area?

Dream on.

Only if they parachute a candidate in from somehwere else. Seems we don't have enough talent of our own anymore.

Where's Carol Gran when you need her?
