Why hello to you too!

Gravatar Hey, so what's the story with dry ice and airlines? Can you just bring a box that's tossing fog and expect them to go "OK, load 'er up?"

And if you do it right, can you use your dry ice to make your box LIGHTER than its original 40 lbs.?

My friend Randy showed me a funny cartoon with Tippy the Turtle. Tippy packed a box full of helium balloons and took them to the post office to mail. He asked, "do you charge by pound?" And when they said yes, he let go of the box which floated off the scale while he hollered at the mailman, "so I guess YOU owe money to ME!" before turning the camera to say, "And remember, kids, be as obnoxious as possible."

Gravatar Heh. I'll take a labradoodle over a kid any day.

Gravatar Phil: Believe it or not, I checked the baggage restrictions, and up to 5 lbs of dry ice for transporting perishables is still allowed. Is carbon dioxide lighter than air? I never remember these things. Also? I love cartoons that seem to be for kids but then have supremely sardonic twists.

Jamie: Yeah, she's the sweetest little cute baby in Michigan! Go STELLA!
(It's also fun to call for her across the beach: STELLAAAAAAAAA!)

Gravatar You are very good at hollering (wailing, really) for people across large expanses of (lawn, sand, what have you). He he he. Ols

Gravatar Heh. Ollllllllllllls! (I don't remember any specific incident...should I?)

Gravatar The bird you have identified as an American Redstart is really a red-breasted nuthatch. It's a great picture, you just have the wrong ID. Check it out with any bird book or on google images.

Gravatar Hey Marty. From the layout it does look like I'm saying that's a picture of the redstart, but if you look a bit further down the entry, I was talking here about a red-breasted nuthatch as my lifer.

Gravatar Oh, and just for clarity's sake, I didn't take that picture. I linked to the source. It is indeed a lovely image.
