My sweet Dad always carried hankies. I remember that he would iron them, and they were always perfectly folded in his drawer. It was only when I got older that I realized that that is not something that most people do. But, it's very eco-friendly, more people should do it, eh?

I am weak for linens. Weak! Your hankies are amazing, Stew.

My dad used to tie a knot in each corner of a hankie and use it as a hat when he was at the beach. And roll his pants legs up because British men don't so shorts.

Lovely. My father is also a hankie man. Funny, my mother never was a hankie woman, but I too have quite a few from my grandmother (monogrammed with the right initials until I got married...).

Hey, Mom, I'm fine. Just don't have much to say and have been busy.
But my name is Stew.

Wait. Tying a hankie in four corners to make a hat and rolling up pants legs - isn't that reminiscent of Benny Hill or somebody like that? Was that your dad, Marianne?!
LOL!

Heh. Marianne's dad is SCOTTISH, though, and Benny Hill is English. I think that might be a point of contention, but am in no way sure about the intricacies of anglo-scotto relations.
