Why hello to you too!

Gravatar Chow down on the 2 yourself. One for a snack after dinner and one on your cereal in the morning tomorrow. Feed the .2 to the worms along with the peels from the 2 )

How bout them apples.. errr I mean Bananas?

Gravatar I like a little essence of green on my banana, for a firm yet soft texture. The brown-spotted ones make excellent banana milkshakes, if you are into that, which I am. But, I guess then we are beyond the eating-them-straight stage. I am a big fan of almond butter-on-bananas these days.

How's Art doing?

Gravatar Dunno about Art yet. He got the surgery started late, so he won't be out for some time.

Gravatar Sigh. Mostly I just miss bananas. I like mine with a touch of brown spotting - a little towards being soft, but definitely not mushy. Absolutely no green. Best eaten on a peanut butter sandwich. (Belly growls in the background.)

Gravatar Jessica: so you aren't eating any bananas at all? I so rarely buy them because of their small window of edibility.

Gravatar No bananas for Jessica? How sad!

I like with no spots, also. Or maybe just one or two.

Does anyone here remember the cute Chiquita Banana scene from "Everyone Says I Love You"?

Gravatar No, I'm not buying bananas. But I am working on growing them myself. We've got an Orinoco tree that will produce in, oh - two or three years. For now I snatch what bananas I can if we have a workshop or something where they'll just throw away the food.

Gravatar Ouch. I bet that means no citrus either. I've been mackin' on a lot of navel oranges this winter. I'm slacking on local foods, to tell the truth.

Gravatar I like no green at all because it has a bitter taste and odd texture. I like all yellow and will even eat them when they're very browned because I feel bad buying them and wasting... And I also I know the day I throw out a banana is the night I get a Charlie horse!
