Gravatar You did the right thing. Generally, if it's a fledgling you should leave it where it is and assume the parents are nearby (they won't usually come around till we leave). But when they've clearly been knocked out of the nest too soon and you can get them back in without risking your own neck, then by all means go for it. You don't even have to feed them, especially if the parent is swooping at you to get the heck away from its offspring. Well done!
