You amaze me. It doesn't even occur to me to plant a garden and you do it and do it so beautifully

Way to go. I'm planting my mates next week. My peas don't have flowers yet- I know that makes you happy- to be ahead of me
I've got a marjoram and some bee balm for you if you want it.

I'll take you up on the marjoram and bee balm for sure! I don't know where to put flowers, though. Veggies and fruits have higher priority, and space is scarce.
I plant things so early because I'm just too damn excited, Maria. Also, I'm afraid I'll plant too late and not get any yield. My formative years in a short growing season might be the root of this anxiety.
The pea flowers are so so so so pretty. They're YELLOW! I didn't expect yellow. And the fava blossoms are also pretty--white with a dark blue/purple/black bit in the middle somewhere.
I can't wait.

I just lurve fava bean flowers. I'd have planted them just for those, had I not been lazy over the winter.
