Why hello to you too!
I so need to hear that story.
I experience this at work to some extent. I mostly get silence in the voicemails because people do not know they chose the option for voicemail. Occasionaly I hear them say " why are they not answering... It is during work hours..."
This happened to me once with a girl I used to go to church with calling me to ask about my college. She left her message and said "bye" and then didn't hang up the phone but I could tell she thought she had because I heard her say "All she said was 'this is Cristin pls leave a message'" and then something I couldn't hear followed by loooots of laughter. That stung. And I didn't really know why but I sat there and wondered: why did she wait to call me about college until she had a huge crowd around to laugh at my voicemail message?! Again, we used to go to CHURCH together. Hrmph.
Yeah...and this person let loose with a *bunch* of crap too. The things that were said...ouch. Basically the issue was that they seemed to have misunderstood what I was saying and thought I was making some gaffe. I also seemed to have stepped into the middle of a pile of politicking doo doo.
