Go grandma!
Funny you should be writing about Yerba Mate. I knew nothing about it until this week until I discovered that it's one way that Argentinians discover each other when they're out of the country. They see someone drinking Mate and it's "Hola! Buenos Dias! Me llamo _____. De donde eres? " And more giddy happiness.
An assload of Argentinians are staying at the hostel where I hang out. Today they made a mess of seafood gumbo in rice, and they shared. Yummy.
