You have a busy day in front of you! I can't wait to see the worm bin. I've been thinking of building one myself.

Hi Maggie! Just wait until you see the next round of pictures... If I get up and running with the worms, I'll roadtrip over to Asheville and pass some on to you, how about?

Double-wow! And dang, I hope the best for your back and shoulder muscles.

Hahahahahaha!

OMG beautiful! I can't wait to see it in person! You've really worked your butt off. I should do the same. (Lots to do outside that kitchen door. Sigh.)

You know, the flip flops were a souvenir from Gainesville. Irreplacable. Unless, of course, you go to your local Old Navy.

So how big are those beds? I have plans for a couple of those myself. Would love a link to this *worm bin* you speak of. I'm sure we have worms in Georgia, but I doubt very seriously that there are any in my yard. I tried to turn over some soil yesterday to put my pole beans in, and I almost drpooed dead. The "soil" is like stone. I will definitely need some worm friends.

Hi Julie! The beds are 10 feet long by 4 feet wide and one foot deep. Originally I was going to make them two feet deep, but I accidentally bought 1/2 the wood I wanted.
Which turned out to be a blessing. Cause the lumber as is cost $100, the soil (just enough for the reduced depth of the beds) was $126, and the various and sundry other things like chicken wire, etc. was almost another $100. This is EXPENSIVE. So I was glad not to be paying essentially twice that, you know?
I'll send you a link to as much worm stuff as I can, ok? But I'm still pretty much learning myself.
I think, sadly, that your plot is going to have to be hand turned, unless you go the bed route, like I did. I don't envy you either.
