My mom's ring had blue sapphires around a diamond, but in a different pattern. My dad told me once that he designed the ring and had it made. But yours is prettier.

Gorgeous!!! Kind of in the same style as my 1920s wedding ring. Unlike some of the really elaborate Deco rings, both mine and this one are more understated. I am soooo not a jewelry person, but I love my ring so much. This ring (the sapphire 30s) is just beautiful!! I want you to have it! xoxo, Ols

totally keep the pictures and then when the right one comes along, have the jeweler make it. That is what I did (although a slightly different style) and I couldn't be happier. Who says you need a surprise ring to get engaged?
