wow, so lucky. When do you plant your lettuce and peas? Is it too late to start peas?

I think I started the peas and lettuce in late January maybe? No, looking back in the archives it was on Feb 4th.
You can for sure plant them later, but I just wanted to get them in. Both are spring crops and don't love hot weather, so you're probably too late (unless you have unlimited space, and then why not throw a few in and see what happens?).
Also, you can grow peas and lettuce in the fall and even winter. I grew lettuce this fall, too. We get at least three growing seasons here, so you can do two crops of the cooler-weather veggies.
Here is an entry I did that has a great graphic from the NC Cooperative Extension showing when to plant for maximum garden yield. There are about two seasons in each little section.
