Did you end up getting a frost?
Yeah, we did. Not sure what the damage is yet, though. Things actually look decent. If they did indeed make it through, it looks like there's no other frost in the forecast this week. Phew.
I'll have to come up to the Chatham property and pick some persimmons then. They are best after first frost...
Yum. As long as they're not too astringent I like persimmons. I remember the first time I discovered them was just a few years ago. I was geocaching with a friend when I came across this area just littered with them. I had no idea what they were, but decided to taste them just in case they were something good. 
This was in a small wooded area alongside a strip mall in suburban Durham.
