Gravatar Have you seen my lead photo/video on the hurricane Dean?

Thanks for the tips! We're buying a new Forester today...

Gravatar Neat! I like it!
I had just been there and you still had Britney up so thanks for the heads up.

I really do not envy the people in Jamaica. I am really surprised but the Meteorology Office of Jamaica hasn't updated anything since early this morning and teh Jamaican Office of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management has NOTHING posted. A bunch of stuff about earthquake drills and hurricane info from 2005. I want to put something relavant up but there is nothing available.

Gravatar Letter regarding Texas seasonal flooding..................

It is common knowledge that flooding causes more loss of life and damage to property than any other natural disaster. Although Texas is about to suffer another extraordinary flooding event at this time, one can rest assured that it will happen again, and in the meantime many less extraordinary flooding cycles will occur.

Because flooding is typically a seasonal event, it is predictable, and thus Emergency Preparedness measures can be effected by a caring and alert government. There is no excuse for the magnitude of property destruction continually being imposed upon the citizens and business owners of Texas. Much can be prevented

Although sandbagging is not a certain cure, when properly executed a sandbagging system can greatly reduce the amount of destruction of life and property. A proper sandbagging system needs to assure the availability of properly filled sandbags, in adequate quantities, at the proper time, and at the right location.
Too often community sandbagging programs become a text book example of "too few, too late", and "the wrong place, at the wrong time".

Our Automated Sandbagging Machine along with a sound Emergency Preparedness Program will greatly reduce flood damage. Unfortunately, local and State governments feign lack of budget to purchase equipment and perform proper Emergency Preparedness, yet they always seem to find requisite funds for reconstruction. Consider purchase and strategic placement of our Automated Sandbagging Machines in the flood prone areas of Texas.

Our Automated Sandbagging Machines delivers 1,100 filled and sewn-closed sandbags per hour with but one person operating the machine. The machine uses wet or dry, sand, aggregate, gravel, dirt, or small rocks.
The machine is fully mobile. Because our machine fills each bag with an equal amount and the bags are sewn-closed, they stack higher and effect a more watertight barrier than does hand filled and tied-end bags.

Gravatar Thanks Ernest,

I agree that many of our governments' approaches to many emergency situations is one of scramble and hope for the best. Good luck in getting the word out about your automated sandbagging machine, I'm glad to help. I hope more businesses and municipalities make this investment.
