I should join the Union of Concerned Scientists. I consider myself a scientist, even though I am an engineer. And I am concerned that some liberal will try to take more of my hard earned money from me for no good reason.

Heh! You are exactly right. I can
tell a person's postion on social
security, gun control, taxes, Iraq,
gays, religion, France and unions by
simply asking, "So, whattya think of
Global Warming?" As a retired scientist, I of course have great
regard for the scientific process and am distressed by the politics from both sides on the issue..the
data is incomplete, but interesting!

Welcome BB, I agree with you. It is a shame that we as a society cannot debate issues but instead become entrenched in camps created by the politics. All we can do is point to the data and present a logical argument.
