Even with the dim light -- they are SOOO PRETTY! I love your color choices. It makes the natural color look so lush... it's like... ladyfingers with jam filling or something. Anyway, congratulations!

They are gorgeous! You've totally inspired me; I had a wonderful set of Koigu skeins I was going to use, but for the pattern color... I think I'm going to use it for the background like yours. Beautiful work!!

I just found you via Eunny's gallery, and they're gorgeous! I've got some Koigu I want to use as well. I was also thinking about using some Henry's Attic Kona Superwash, but I see you mentioning a gauge difference between the yarns - could you elaborate on that a bit? Obviously it's not insurmountable, but if you had any advice, I'd really appreciate it.
P.S. Congrats on your baby girl! I became obsessed with knitting because I needed something to do while my twins napped on my lap - those were some good good times.

Lovely Mits! I didn't even notice that one was bigger than the other and no one else will either once you are wearing them out and about.

Those truly are beautiful. You did them so fast you made it look easy. I think they intimidate me, but you did such a great job! Now are you praying for snow?

Laura, they're gorgeous! I can't wait to make those. With any luck, I will be able to finish them AND it will get cold enough to wear them!

Hello! I LOVE your mittens! They are so beautiful and so are your Endpaper Mitts too! I was wondering if you would mind sharing how much of the skein of Koigu you used? Did you use just one or did you have to go into a second? Do you think you could do these mittens with 2 skeins of Koigu? Also do you think it would be wise to do the Endpaper Mitts first and then try the Anemoi Mittens. Are the Anemoi that much harder or just different? Thanks!

I just cast on for the Anemoi Mittens yesterday, and I am about to start decreasing for the tip on the first one. Totally addictive knit, but I have to say I'm not completely keen on the "asymmetrical, non-repeating" chart...hard to manage my household and knit these at the same time.
I like your colours too - I chose ice blue and white, similar to another pair in Eunny's gallery, but while knitting them I've been thinking "the next ones will be dark". You can really see the design better on yours than on mine. I am making them for my sister for next Christmas - it's going to kill me to not post about them for a whole year...maybe I'll have to cast on some for myself, and post about those instead.
Nice job.

Great mittens! I had to laugh when I read your post because I had similar issues with mine - one mitten bigger than the other. Did you knit the smaller one first? The first mitt I knit was tighter at the cuff and throughout the hand than the second one. I've decided to tell myself that one of my hands is slightly larger than the other, rather than think my knitter was inferior.

Ok that's it! Your mittens are so gorgeous that now I have to go and get that pattern. I've seen those mittens and have been awed by them but yours broke me-great job!

I can so see why you're in love with those. They're stunning. I'm envious! I'm just getting into stranded knitting too (the steek along on Samurai Knitter's blog). It's so fun. I think I'm going to love it.

Gorgeous mittens. Now I know what to do with all the Koigu I bought for a shawl that was never meant to be. Could you let me know how many skeins it took to finish them?
Thanks
