Now I think I need to get the latest Vogue Knitting for this pattern. I love EZ's baby sweater patterns, I should pick up her books, huh?

Hooray for a return of babyknits!
My little girl is a daddy's girl too. I keep telling myself she's setting the standard high for her future mate! Don't worry though - I bet you still stay her true best friend.

Good to have you back on the blog Laura! That jacket is very cute. Well, even if baby girl becomes daddy's girl, I'm sure she still loves mommy's handknits!

Ooh I love the baby jacket and I am sure it would look equally as cute on your daughter as on your niece. How sweet that she lets you have a sleep in, and my daughter is a bit of both, daddy's girl and mummy's girl too. I think it is so cute when they do things with their dad, and I agree about knitting whilst they watch football, lots of extra knitting time.

Super cute! I may have to knit one up for the shop. It would be great in the (washable) Cashsoft DK, I'll bet.
How funny that your kid likes football already. It is a pretty comical sport, when you think about it. A bunch of men in cartoony padded outfits and bubble-head helmets trying to knock each other over?

Those two colors look very nice together. Wool/cotton is a great baby yarn. I've machine washed it in a mesh bag, in cold water, on gentle cycle and it turned out okay.

Hey, welcome back! It's nice to see you. Yes, I would definitely keep the jacket for baby girl. You know how to take care of it, and you never know if other people will want to commit to a sweater they have to handwash. It looks lovely!

That is adorable!!! I plan to knit one of those too. I was just admiring it in the magazine. I love the way your's turned out. I've heard bunches of people have gently washed and air dryed their Wool Cotton items with no trouble at all!!!

I am a Rowan wool/cotton addict and have successfully washed a child's sweater in the machine. I put it in a zippered, net lingerie bag first, washed it in cool on gentle cycle with 'Soak' and then laid it flat on a towel to dry. Good to go!
