The dress is kind of a disappointment... (and a bad picture of Heidi)
Where is the draping when you need it?.. He could've done a short sexy draped dress instead of what looks like a failed bubbleskirt..
It made her look fat. If a style or a design makes the model look fat, I'm gonna be sure to run the other way.
Love the color tho.

I also think Heidi looks beautiful. Her waist looks so skinny. The mini makes her look a little shapely, as a women should. I also love the cut of the top. It's very romantic.
Congrats to Rami, that's wonderful and flattering that Heidi wore his design when she's honored for her style.

Heidi looks better than ever in my opinion.. she looks beautiful and the dress is very flattering on her. Also the video of Rami being honored is very well deserved, I feel so proud for him.. My daughter is so inspired by Rami and wants to become a designer. I recently bought her a home sewing machine that she can start sewing on.

This was for a "Hot in Hollywood" event - not a red carpet event. The dress beautifully showcases her gorgeous legs and skin. Heidi looks fabulous. She is hotter than any of these younger celebs who are ten years younger and haven't had three children. Great color too. Congratulations Rami!

Heidi looks marvelous! Love the eggplant. Would Kors call that a Brady Bunch color? The bunching round the hips is odd, but I assume that's a consequence of the way she's standing. Rami knows better than to *make* a dress that sits that way naturally and Heidi knows better than to *wear* a dress that sits that way naturally. But whatever. Go Rami!
And how cute was he in that LA City Council clip? He looked kind of bashful. I'll be listening to that podcast as soon as I get home. It's a great way to unwind at the end of the week.
It is quite amazing that Rami is almost entirely self taught. Some of the construction techniques he uses are very sophistitcated and very difficult to master correctly. Not to mention time consuming, and not often used anymore due to the (labor) cost. He is truely a master of his craft. He seems like a very kind person as well.

I think the dress has 3 pleats going sideways, which are clearly a part of the design . I LOVE the dress, It is very Heidi and very Rami all at the same time.. that is usually hard to accomplish.. She has fabulous legs and am glad she still shows them!
Rami is SUPER talented and quite a hottie.. I just love him.. sigh!

So, the truth is, Rami 's clothing is the best. We, as women know that. Christian is a clown, and so are the ruffles that come with his clothes. I think that the only judge on that show that liked Christians work was Victoria Beckham. Fine, she can wear the feather buster in the end of the show, that makes my skin crawl. Drama does not equal creativity. Its too bad Michael Kors, and the others wouldn't fight for Rami. HE is talented and worthy of the winning prize.

Karen, I too am a real sized woman, and what I mean is that it make Heidi look like she has a big belly and big hips. If a dress does that to a woman like heidi, who is in top shape. It will make me look like the goodyear blimp.
Thats what I mean when I say, if it makes a model look fat, I'm running away from it, cuz there is no way it will look good on me.
I think it is a pretty dress, I adore the color, I do not like what its doing to her belly or hips however, it makes her look big.
BM I think you might be looking at the wrong photo..! Or you simply need better vision lol Heidi looks thin as a rail.. ore should I say thinly healthy! the folding in the front looks like part of the design which I actually like. her waist is what seems to be a corset, and she seems in tip top shape. I think it's fabulous.. and your definition of fat should probably belong on another planet, not ours..
I am a size 6/ 8 and I don't think I look fat, therefore Heidi does not look fat, she looks fabulous..

It's very telling Heidi specifically chose Rami for an event where she was being honored for her style. Let's hope we'll see Heidi in Rami Kashou originals for years to come.
What surprises me is that in the "Project Jay" special Heidi said that in Germany they said "if all else fails go for purple" yet she seemed to respond very well to the color here.

I'm a sucker for anything in purple--but, yikes. This dress does *not* show Heidi to her advantage. I know she isn't...but it makes her look like a pudge. What a shame.

Have to put in my two cents- I think Dani has it spot on. Not only is the dress beautiful and Heidi beautiful in it, but I think it's a fun and fabulous statement that she chose that look for that event. Red carpet or not, if Heidi is photographed in a dress known to have been designed by a PR designer, it says something, and she's very aware of that. If nothing else, people like US notice it!
So often on reality TV the favorite comes in second- almost like it's written in a script somewhere... Daniel V., Clay Aiken, Joe Schmo (a wink and a nod to those of you who got that one). Sometimes by not winning, you win. Which is pretty much the only reason I wasn't horribly, horribly disappointed with Rami's near miss. He'll do fine, and plenty of people will always think he should have won.
