.. I hope I'm not the only one who thinks that the dress Sara JP. is wearing in that pic is horrid.. No wonder why Christian's prom challenge was such a disaster. If I hear him say "I'm young" or "McQueen" one more time I'm gonna die

Christina I didn't even recognise SJP! That is the biggest hot mess dress I ever saw.
What a delightful and informative interview. Christian is very insightful about his weaknesses and those of others. I have enjoyed watching him remain true to his design asthetic during each challenge. I sure hope we get to see a collection from him.
I love the Anglomania dress, too.
PS As handsome as you are with you serious face, you are even cuter when you smile.
McQueen made the dress for SJP, and he wore the matching plaid on a kilt at the same event. I think it's not conventionally beautiful, but it's whimsical, and SJP loved it enough to mention it in a recent cover story in Allure.
Christian worked on the dress underneath the plaid part. It's hard to see, maybe we can locate a better photo.

Awww, he can say McQueen as much as he wants as far as I'm concerned. If I worked with McQueen, I'd be a crazy name dropping fool, too. McQueen, McQueen, McQueen! Did I mention McQueen? Love Christian, awesome podcast. I agree with him on Season One being the strongest so far, too. I keep hoping to see a Bryant Park that measures up to Jay and KaraSaun. So far, no luck. Maybe Season 4 will rock it out. Christian, Rami, and Jillian definitely have the potential to put something amazing out there if the fashion gods align and they make it to the finale.

One thing I'll say about that plaid dress: it's certainly gotten a lot of people talking. Even if they mostly talked about how much they hated it- one of the things about fashion is that the goal isn't always beauty- it's attention, or being memorable, or expressing a sense of self. I won't disagree that the dress was a hot mess, but other factors are at issue, too.
