Gravatar Thanks for the link Laura, you're right, very interesting read indeed.

Gravatar I read that article the other day - very interesting stuff.

And thank you for posting my favorite ever picture of Tim. I first saw it in conjunction with an article about poorly-dressed academics, of whom Tim is clearly NOT one!

Gravatar Sounds like he's not making any real money from PR. I'm really curious who is raking in all the money for PR since they hardly have any expenses with all of the product placement.

Gravatar Well that would be the Weinsteins and of course Heidi was probably smart enough to get her cut when they drew up the contracts 5 years ago

Gravatar The article answers a lot of my questions about the give-take of his new position along with his PR duties. It sounds like he has a patient, optimistic CEO who wants him to 'make it work' on his terms. I hope the stockholders are nearly as patient, but they rarely are.

Hiring Mizrahi means another celebrity who divides his time between saving Liz Claiborne and his other interests. I don't know that the board will stomach adding any more part-time saviors.

This could explain why Tim won't be at the NYC auditions for PR5. But I remember him saying somewhere that the auditioners for PR4 were so good, he could have cast PR5 from the rejects. Who knows, maybe they're only looking for 7 or 8 new faces as opposed to 15 this time...

Gravatar We can show support by giving a good look-see at Liz Claiborne whenever we are out replenishing or freshening our wardrobes. His influence on what's actually going to be out on sales floors is indirect, to say the least. But a happy, confident and energized crew is going to make happy, confident energized work. In time, it's going to show. Let's hope it's sooner than later. That label hasn't been "my style" in a while, but I am certainly open to a second look now that Tim has this kind of a hand in shaping their product.

Gravatar That was a long article but so worth it! I never knew what his background was that led him to be involved with Project Runway; now I know so much more about what is going on and where it is all coming from!
