Yummm...I've got all the stuff, minus the apples.
I really want to make this, but I've got two questions: 1.) What kind of apples did you use - green? (2.) Did you peel them first?
Maybe that last one is obvious. Thanks for the recipe!

I used a couple green and the rest were some sorta weird red apple I've never heard of before. Big help I am. =) Anyways, I think any apples'll work, as long as you pick your favs. Oh, and I didn't peel them. But only b/c I like apple skins a lot. Hope that helped at least a little.

Hi, I just found this blog and have been drooling at your photos for the last... well, too long! Gorgeous. I am going to refill my apple stockpiles tomorrow, and will definitely be trying this. (I don't like peeling my apples, either)And your gnochi from the previous post looks so so good. Thanks so much for all the recipes and photos and I will be back!

I know you posted this ages ago, but I just made it yesterday with some Pippin apples I picked over the weekend, and it's WONDERFUL! I love that it doesn't have any butter/margarine, and very little oil. It feels almost healthy! Thanks for the fabulous recipe!
