i used to eat this (nonvegan) all the time when i was a kid. it was hands-down my favorite hurry-up-and-eat-before-my-parents-woke-up weekend breakfast.

haven't had a waffle in years, though. methinks a waffle iron needs to go on my amazon wishlist.

I was just curious - is Hershey's chocolate syrup vegan? I ask because my fiance has a dairy allergy so I frequent vegan blogs to search for recipes and restaurants. Thanks for the info!

Please doublecheck me on this, but I'm pretty certain that the canned hershey's syrup (the one where you have to poke holes into the top of the can to get the syrup out) is vegan, and thus dairy-free. I think the stuff in the plastic-y squirt bottle is debatable because of some of the preservatives in it. At least from what I remember, though I can't quite remember where I read that right now.
