It's crap like the Big Red Binder that make me wonder if I will make it through the long haul. I HATE that administrative B.S.

It's not the most joyous thing in the world. But it does help to have the plans in one spot. Especially since my room tends to get more disorganized as the day goes along.

All that paper being used in all those BIG red folders... The eco nuts must be going crazy.

We are going away from the binders (ours were white) because of the amount of space that stuff takes up. I guess it's all being scanned onto some sort of digital storage drive this year. I don't know the full story. I just know it's changed. The organization of the binder has been a PITA since I came here--particularly the attendance part. It's awful if you have a transient bunch.

Happy, it went pretty well. The only thing I forgot was the quarter grades and I put those in when I got back to my room.
Debbie, I think my Victims of Che poster would drive them crazier than the paper!

My red binder is actually a white binder and I only have my attendance and grades in it. My lesson plans are in a separate binder. My red binder is my emergency procedures.
Hey, at least your school isn't going through attendance audit this year. My attendance is all screwed up and I have to get it fixed soon. A lot of my attendance is missing from September!

Wanna bet? We're getting audited as well. My attendance is pretty good as far as I can tell.

And to think I once considered being a teacher. I guess I'm glad I didn't.

The big red or white binder sounds like a good idea. My daughter was a sub, nothing worse then going into a classroom where the regular teacher left nothing. Sadly, that happened more then it didn't. It's good for the students too, gives them consistency.
If a student is able to do their assignments when they're suspended, what's the point? Suspension from my experience meant the work could not be made up; and each lesson was an automatic failure.

Sandy, most of them don't do their homework anyway and I don't want them to get any more behind than they would already be.
