It isn't just their fellow Hollywood stars they're worried about - they also have to consider the majority of Americans who think the invasion of Iraq was a "mistake." This might not be as much of a problem if the right hadn't spent the last 3 years trying to equate "support the troops" with "support bad decisions and abuses of Presidential power."

This is so sad and so true. They are afraid to go out of their comfort zones.

I admire actors like Bruce Willis who aren't afraid to love their own country (and the country that made them wealthy, by the way!).

I disagree with the previous comment. I've not heard any of them have a problem saying 'I support the troops'. They just usually add a 'but ...' in there.

If what the previous commenter wrote were true - they wouldn't be so willing to say 'I support the troops, but...'
