Ah yes, the usefulness of the UN. It should be seen in an historical persepctive - the UN was created in an age when communications and trade between nations were at a relative trickle. Now, they're a flood. The world has changed since those early years.

The UN is taking up valuable space (not to mention untold NYC parking spaces) and is not pulling its weight. Time to move on to more efficient options, and plow some of its operating expenses into worthwhile international endeavors.
