Does anyone have a suggestion for a good Yahoo/Google/MSN alternative?
I would love to hear your thoughts on WalMart taking China's hot beef injection, as well...

It's a dangerous precedent - WalMart and any company dealing with China is seeing the rewards of going into the market and has to weigh the possibility of avoiding the market or giving in to China's demands.
GM and other automakers are looking at China's marketplace and the huge growth as a way to turn the companies around. Yet they're still giving in to the Communist's demands.
Google had the opportunity to tell the Chinese that they wouldn't give in and the net result wouldn't have hurt Google's bottom line. They're still experiencing tremendous growth and weren't reliant on China before making the deal.
WalMart, however, is seriously reliant on China and Chinese products. They're in a much better position to try and influence China to moderate its policies, but they're also in a bad position because they've apparently given in to Chinese demands. So it's up to shoppers back here in the US to decide whether to shop at WalMart or not.
Personally, I choose other stores to shop at - Target or Kohls over WalMart.
Millions of shoppers here don't care how WalMart ended up with low prices and shop there without caring about the reliance on Chinese goods. The hundreds of thousands of workers employed by WalMart rely on all this as well.
What WalMart should do is use its clout to press China to open up further or else it would take its operations elsewhere - India perhaps where the conditions are greatly improved but production costs are still comparatively low. However, I don't see them doing that anytime soon.
