I respect the Islamic religion, I have many muslim friends and I understand that some muslims are offended by the publication... BUT

Being danish, i'm happy to see that American newspapers are reprinting the cartoons. Printing the cartoons in the first place was insensitive and even down right stupid but the reactions from some radical muslims and the attacks on danish civilians and buildings has created a need for republishing of the cartoons by strong allies like the US in order to relieve some of the intense pressure that denmark is under.

Right now Denmark needs all the support it can possibly get. The danish armed forces are stretched by operations in Afghanistan and Iraq and we really need our allies to clearly state their support. A statement from President Bush would be strongly appreciated.
