Iraq has come a long way in three years! Three years ago that country was ruled by a tyranny and today they are free. Sure, problems are ongoing but our troops have done an amazing job training the Iraqi army, returning the country to peace and teaching the people about Democracy. God bless our troops and all Gold Star families!

Thank you for giving me a place where I can go to find the many different blogs commemorating Iraqi Liberation Day. Though it is a few days past April 9, I have begun to visit these sights and am now almost addicted to the encoruaging words, pictures and sentiments from Gold Star Families and other supporters. I am so glad that we can take this week - or any week actually - to remember the feeling we all had, the sense of true pride that came to us when our troops hung an American Flag over the head of that statue and when we saw men, women adn children joined by our troops to topple that statue and the symbolism it held for the Iraqi people.
