This is all about depressing Republican turnout now. Especially in rural areas of the Midwest and South where homosexuality is viewed as an evil.

I simply don't think it will have as much impact as you think if Democrats are trying to depress turnout based on outing GOPers as homosexuals.

Turnout in many of these races is determined locally, not on a national scale. If the GOP can get their voters out, they'll do okay.
