scarier still, although no evidence of it yet, is that the jihadist videos could be used to diseminate messages to followers, such as when where and how to attack the US. Yet these videos are allowed to continue and commentary is not? Curious!
Suggestion -- We need to organize a campaign to find all the jihad videos and have all the bloggers flag them as prohibited content. We need to beat these guys at their own game!
I don't agree with the censorship approach to these issues. The more we know what these guys are saying, the better. Open 'em up to daylight. They put those videos out there because they want people to see what they've done in the name of Allah.
They're proud of their beheadings, and warn the infidels (that would be us) to submit to Islam or all hell will break loose.
Well, people are still walking around with blinders on because they think that the GOP or Bush or the US or Joos are the real enemies, when it's really these jihadis running around the world who are really plotting to kill lots of people, and have been successful before (and will be successful again).
That said, I understand your concern that the videos might contain secret messages to sleeper cells and terrorists to coordinate attacks and the like.
On balance, I think shedding light on the jihadis is preferable to censoring them via the flagging system.
