This "extremism has no place in islam" is just so much Muslim propaganda. What I want to see is mosque leaders and other spiritual Muslim authorities declaring these people takfir or apostates and kicking them out of the mosques, shunning them and having nothing to do with these "misguided" souls who supposedly get Islam so wrong. Then I will start to believe this no extremism in islam bit.

It's not a schock at all. Almost without fail, these jihadis are former (really current) criminals. Their religiosity is a sham, a mask to give reason to their sociopathic behaivior.
Bullshit with a capital 'B'-
Mohammed was a fanatical extremist and a genocidal terrorist. There are many statements like 'terror made me victorious'- and 'strike terror in the hearts of the enemy' in the koran and the hadith attributed to him. For Muslims Muhammed is the 'perfect man'- uswa hasana, al insan al kamil, a perfect example for all of mankind for all time to follow. Therefore, none of these so-called 'condemnations of extremism' hold any value. But even that is part of Islam, because according to Mohammed "War is deceit'- Muslims are always at war against the kuffar, (thats us) and will always deceive us as long as they are permitted to practice their cult and spread their poison in our society.
Close the mosques, shut down the madrassahs, internment and deportation for the hatepreachers and re-education for the victims of the cultists. Nothing else can fix this obsession!
