Gravatar I heard that Michelle Malkin was going to Iraq to investigate. When is she going?

Gravatar You're so right dude. Iraq is in fact a glorious land of freedom and democracy. The violence there is no worse than what you'd find in any mid-sized American city (say, Indianapolis). All this shit about torture, murder, sectarian violence, US troops getting killed, it's all a myth propagated by the lie-beral media. Things are so rosy in Iraq right now that I'm thinking about moving there. Care to join me?

Gravatar Maybe your trouble stems from the fact that you have the name spelled wrong. Try "Jamail".

Gravatar Malkin left her world poice dolls and went to Battle Star Galactica and the journey of mankind through space running from Satan's metal men, not that they are really Taliban or Jamil fighting what they know they must lose.

Gravatar Ah the Daou crew is back. Let's see - Malkin is going whenever she and Eason Jordan get their acts together. You'll have to ask her about it. I am not her secretary.

Jamil, Jamail - if you've bothered to read my numerous posts on the subject, it isn't the names that are at issue, but the underlying facts that support the 60+ articles he's been cited as a primary source for a variety of information.

Do you have a problem with reporting that is based on a bogus source? I do. I'm also not denying that there are serious problems in Iraq, but do we need media outlets to be making a bad situation even worse by pushing bogus, exaggerated, or spun stories?

If you've looked at what the AP has said about matters, you'd see that the original report indicates six bodies were torched - but no remains or any other evidence has been found it happened. Four mosques were claimed to have been torched, and yet there appears to have been only one that was slightly damaged. The locations of these events are all over Baghdad, and yet AP relies on this one source for its reporting?

This is about getting the reporting right - as in accurate. That's something that everyone on both sides of the aisle should be able to get behind.

Gravatar Excellent work, Lawhawk. It will be curious to see how long the AP can drag this out. But they will not get away with it.
