What was it he said not too long ago about his car? His constituents wanted him to drive a Cadillac, or some ridiculous statement of the like?
He gets a pass, lawhawk. You know that, I know that, and the rest of us know that. He's "one of them," after all.
Oh, and correct me if I am mistaken, but doesn't he have like three rent-controlled apartments in NYC, too?
See? Free pass. Rules, taxes, all that crap - those things are for us "little people."

Rangel says he has done nothing "morally wrong"...what a shock. I guess when you have no, or limited, morals then...anything goes.
Here is a "man" who lives on the TAXPAYERS "dollar" and every month uses RENT CONTROLLED housing for Political purposes. This housing is intended to help women, children, men, etc. and should be!
Then Rangel doesn't know that his mortgage was PAID OFF and before being paid off the interest was ELIMINATED? He didn't know that his bank account was $ 75,000 HIGHER? Come on people!
He then blames his "wife", who does all the accounting, for the "oversight".
This is NOT a Democratic or Republician "thing"...this is a RIGHT versus WRONG thing!
It is wrong when Republicians break the law, abuse their power, and it is EQUALLY wrong when Rangel does it as well.
If we, as AMERICANS, don't start demanding/expecting "more" from our Elected Officials then we have NO basis for "complaining" when we get Politicians who don't give a HOOT about us - only care about Lobyists and big donor contributors - or only care about those who can "help/vote" for them every (in the Senates case) 6 years.
This DO NOTHING CONGRESS is the worst in American History. It has gotten even, which I never thought possible, WORSE since the Democracts took over in 2006. Gas is twice as expensive, food is twice as expensive, wages are down, and we are being INVADED by Illegal Immigrants.
Let's start treating everyone equally and that means follow the LAW (including the tax laws that Rangel is supposed to know as he is in charge of that "department" for the Congress.
I pray for our Country and our future and letting Rangel, or anyone, "off the hook" will not solve our Nation's problems.
Right now there are MILLIONS of people charged with crimes, and/or in jail, that would LOVE to be able to just "pay a fine" and/or "blame it on someone else" and/or say "I have done nothing morally wrong". If Rangel can get away with it...then let's bestow that same "defense" to those who are facing the loss of their...freedom!
God bless America!
Nuff said.

Rangel must be a coward to hide behind his wife's skirts...
If, God-forbid, I should be in that place, I would never blame my wife--even if it was her fault.
If he had any manhood left in that bulky carcass, he'd resign and spend his millions trying to apologize to the woman he publiclywronged...

So, I understand NOTHING has happened by Mr. Rangel. He hasn't hired anyone. This needs a follow-up article!

When you say that Rangel hasn't hired anyone, what exactly do you mean? He has a lawyer representing him. Do you mean to say he hasn't hired tax experts to figure out his tax bill?
