" . . . Newsbusters wonders whether the media will report that the large crowds were due in part to the Obama campaign scheduling his appearance in conjunction with yet another free concert."
You do your cause no great service by attempting to gainsay Obama's attraction. By attributing the crowds to some rock band, rather than to Obama, you allow Republicans to live in a fantasy world. Rather that examining their missteps during the Bush years, they'll fail to change course. Imagine the Republican surprise when they wake up in Novemeber and discover it wasn't just the rocks bands that the American people really wanted.

What exactly is my cause? I don't want to see Obama elected because he's nothing more than an empty suit with absolutely no experience on anything other than perhaps community organizing in Chicago that resulted in more of the same failed housing projects that existed when Obama took over that job out of college.
The fact is that the crowds were artifically inflated by the rock concert given. This isn't the first time that Obama's people have run this trick - and it's a good one at that. Managing crowds is a big way to show that support is high, but it's not nearly as high as Obama's people claim.
The polls, for what they're worth, show that it's a close race between Obama and McCain, and given the current economic climate that should give the Obama people even more cause for concern.
This is the kind of economic situation that should be a slam dunk for Democrats, and yet here they are nearly tied up with a GOPer who they've painted as Bush 3.
