I am a formal Wasilla resident. Sara was the Mayor when I left and moved to Florida. She did a good job for our small town. As Alaska's Gov she has done alot for the state of Alaska.
Now as for Bristal, who was in school with my sons, her pregancy should be off limits. What a private family matter. I am not concerned about the fact she is with child. We need to stay focussed on the matters at hand that effect all American. The war, gas prices, food costs, affordable insurance for families, the states being effected by hurricane Gustav, families losing their homes to housing market. How about that! Why go after a 17 year girl who is dealing with a life changing event in her life.
I feel this is an issue that should be left alone, let the family support thier daughter and prepare for the welcoming of a new great grandchild, grandchild and Bristal's child. This is a thing to celerbrate not knock down.
I am not voting for McCain/Palin ticket, to conservative for my taste. But I don't feel anyone from any party should use this as a smear platform. Stay focused media play fair and run a good race. Stay news worthy!
Plus Levi is a great young man raised by loving parents and both of them are surrounded by caring loving family. Leave then alone and get back to the real issues

Who cares if her Daughter is pregnant.
She is against sex education and birth control, if thats what you believe vote for her.
She thinks Global Warming is not man made, if thats what you believe vote for her.
She thinks that the way to get independent of oil is to drill in nature parks, if thats what you believe vote for her.
She thinks that Polar Bears should not be listed as endangered because that would block people from drilling for oil in their habitat, if thats what you believe vote for her.
I can't see how some one running for VP, could not care about the environment and be so for drilling for oil.
I thought hardcore christians like her would want to be the stewards and care takers of the earth like the book of Genesis says we are.
I mean one positive if we slow Global Warming will NOT have as many HUGE hurricanes like we have today.
How about looking into clean energy instead, because believe it or not there is no gas shortage at this time, the oil companies are just putting the screws to us because of demand. One day oil will be depleted though and so will are planet be depleted of life as it drowns in it's own blood of oil and dies.
Why not kill two birds with one stone and start using other clean methods of energy and start healing the environment?
I think we can all agree on that.
Unfortunately the government is controlled by the oil companies, yes the Democrats and Republicans are both in their pocket, the republicans are just proud to be public about it.
We live in a capitalist world and helping mother nature currently does not make a profit, free energy does not make a profit, so nothing will be done about it unless a crisis happens or the people rise up and demand it.
Well, I guess we know how much Mrs. Palin really believed in not sharing anything "explicit" with her poor little girl regarding sex! Now the kid will have to be another child-mother because of her mother's irresponsible behavior.
Does anyone know what the age of consent is in Alaska? Was this girl a victim of statutory rape? In many states the minimum age is 18.
How sad that "pro-life" comes to mean "chain around a little girl's neck" for her mother's causes.

I think this is the answer:
Alaska statutory rape laws declare that anyone who is 18 years old or older who has sex with a person who is 16 or 17, or who is at least three years younger than the offender, can be charged with sexual abuse in the third degree. This is also a felony.
underage, and pregnant..... why is the father not in jail... last time I heard it was against the law, having sex with minors....
Alaska Statutes 11.41.434 sets forth the requirement:
(1) being 16 years of age or older, the offender engages in sexual penetration with a person who is under 13 years of age or aids, induces, causes, or encourages a person who is under 13 years of age to engage in sexual penetration with another person;Bristol was 17 when she became pregnant.
(2) being 18 years of age or older, the offender engages in sexual penetration with a person who is under 18 years of age, and the offender is the victim's natural parent, stepparent, adopted parent, or legal guardian; or
(3) being 18 years of age or older, the offender engages in sexual penetration with a person who is under 16 years of age, and
(A) the victim at the time of the offense is residing in the same household as the offender and the offender has authority over the victim; or
(B) the offender occupies a position of authority in relation to the victim.
I think it's really sad that everybody jumps to the conclusion that Levi is the dad. How does anyone really know that? Has there been a DNA test? What about Track, couldn't he be the dad?
