Any thoughts on Rahm Emanuel for Chief of Staff? I think this move was an preemptive move to thwart potential US Israeli affairs prognostication. I feel it reiterates, reverberates and most importantly conceals Obama's insecurity and his personal beliefs on Middle Eastern politics.
I am curious if he accepts the offer...

I don't think his selection was made with Israel in mind, but rather his reputation as enforcer and a guy who gets things done. He's a heavy hitter, and it's payback for being a Chicago supporter of Obama.

Emanuel takes the edge off what I consider to be many of Obama's problematic relationships with anti-Israel figures including Farrakhan and Wright, and those relationships and attitudes towards the Arab-Israeli conflict will probably have a greater effect on Obama's attitudes towards the Middle East than his choice of Emanuel.
