Gravatar You are a brave man for reading thos old DAK penned She-Hulks! I recall buying issue 25 (the double-sized finale) at the upstairs comics section at Oxford Books in Atlanta. The rather tall & sexy female clerk gave that book, hidden at the bottom of that weeks buys, a withering glance and said with loud incredulity "She-Hulk?! What crap is this?" Ah, the humiliation!

Gravatar I got that same reaction from my wife, who now feels that I have lost any semblance of taste that I once had.

It's the shitness and lack of direction that makes it an interesting book to read now, though, especially with all of the series together in one cheap book.

Gravatar My girls are old enough that I started reading them comics a year or so ago.

Started with the basics (Archies, Little Lulu, etc.)

Then dug out my old She-Hulks (the "savage" ones).

Read the Stan Lee- penned first issue again, but gave up around issue 5 and said "let's try the John Byrne issues". *Those* they loved. They even enjoyed the Gerber stuff between JB's runs.

Those are the books they need to collect in a She-Hulk "Essential".

(And, fwiw, they are -- and I am -- really enjoying the current She-Hulk run.)

Gravatar Oh man, now ALL three reviewers have posted a "reviews later" post on here.

I TRUST NO-ONE ELSE TO TELL ME WHAT COMICS ARE GOOD AND WHAT AREN'T. I AM CAST ADRIFT HERE, PEOPLE.

Seriously though, hope you guys all get to the comic shop with time to do reviews next week.

Gravatar Hey, Bri and Jeff work in a comic store. They'll have no problem in getting to a store this week.

That said, DC just mailed me a copy of Mystery of Space, so I'll get to review that sooner rather than later.

Whoops - I keep forgetting who works there and who doesn't.

Awesome. Looking forward to it. (It has the words space AND mystery together in a title! I'm almost obligated to be interested)
