You left out the fact it teaches us something else we already knew, that he like all of his ilk is a hypocrit. Bringing up Sudan as "proof" of a "crusade" against Islam, when Muslim Arabs in Sudan in the Darfur region are engaging in mass genocide against the blacks in the region.
People on the Left had better open their eyes and see these people for the sub-human scum they really are. And this is coming from a person who is actually in most regards quite the liberal.

I cannot understand why liberals are not anti Islam. What is there about a religion that demands theocracy, enslaves women, murders homosexuals and thinks that civil rights=terrorism that doesn't deserve condemnation?

I agree with you about the libs - I don't understand it at all. The muslims stand for everything they say they are against.
The only answer I can come up with is that they are afraid.
Or they hate the USA and its president more.
You are both right, I think. Sometimes I think in some cases, maybe on some subconscous level, like in places such as San Francisco, their Pro-Islam rhetoric is a way of saying, "hey, fellas, look at the nice things we're saying in your defense, please don't bomb us."
But no, for the most part I think it's more motivated by partisan politics, disguised as warm and fuzzy "tolerance". And I for one am disgusted with it, and with them.
Tolerance is all well and good when appropriate, but how can it be appropriate to tolerate the intolerable? And the intolerant? But when you try to talk sense to these people, they just accuse you of being racist and xenpophobic.
