I'm so sorry to hear about this, Lee. Watching a stranger die in front of me last week was one of the most profound experiences of my life (and, sadly, I'm no stranger to death). If anything, dealing with death makes you confront its democratic quality and inevitability. And, in the process, it makes you value life even more. Hippy-dippy, but true.

On the lighter note - "Slither slither slither slither went the tongue," is destined to become my newest catch phrase. The mushroom line had me howling with laughter.
Hey - do you know about this competition where people submitt only the first line of a novel? A few years ago someone sent me an e-mail with the top 10 and I was tearing-up with laughter. Since then I've forgotten the name of this contest and who sponsors it. I think it may be a newspaper though.

I chose to skip the Wolfe sex quotes for one reason only. I'm still not 100%, so I don't wanna get myself worked up even thinking about it. Besides, if I laugh, I still cough.
I have thought for quite a few years how great a restaurant that serves cereal only would be. Considering I spend a small fortune on cereal with three ravenous teenagers in the house...these guys have hit the jackpot on this one. I'm jealous. I wonder if they have Count Chocula?

Indeed true. I recall your post about the accident; I'm sure it was difficult to witness.
Aaron - Agreed. He was still a part of my life and my life (even still since he's my nephew's father)so it still affects me.

As for the cereal restaurant, interesting concept indeed and I can see it fitting in quite nicely with the college crowd and near high schools as well! Apprently, the article mentions Cocoa Puffs so I'm sure they've gotta have Count Chocula!
