have some fried calamari. not slimy at all. then you can cross squid off your list. as for the rest... EWW.
Fried calimari is spectacularly good when prepared properly. If it's overcooked it's kinda like eating deep fried rubber bands, but when cooked just right, it's fantastic.
And alligator is quite good, too -- blackened, it's terrific. Kinda somewhere between shrimp and chicken in the taste/texture dept.
Had baby octopus sashimi once -- literally a small octoput, marinated in soy sauce or something similar. It was ... ummmm .... well. Not delicious, exactly. The tentacles weern't so bad, but the head was pretty nasty. It was like eating a mushy grape filled with shrimp and some gritty stuff. Not recommended, aside from as a list-cross-off item.
I would love to live in one of those houses. But it may be rough on me after, oh, five minutes. I'm pretty tall 
I still don't think i could ever bring myself to knowlingly eat squid or octopus for the same reasons I won't eat clams and oysters - the slime factor makes my gag reflex kick in.
Todd - well, i know i can't last in one for major amounts of time since their sq. footage is tiny and I'd feel far too confined (heck! My apt. is 2100 sq. ft!) so that's why I could only havr one as a guest house and/or office.
I've only eaten 17- including some dead animals pre-1983. I can't say I'm impressed with that list- where are parsnips, fresh peas, lemonade, and strawberries?
Good grief, your apartment is twice the size of my house. That said, I think these little cottages are pretty cute. I like the idea of minimalism....
Homer - i may have missed it but are you a vegitarian? And agreed that there was a few things left off the list.
Jeffrey - That's one of the reasons why I nabbed it since it's hard to find even a house that size! Especially for the price.
