Gravatar It's amazing how animals become such important parts of our lives, just as much as people, if not more so. Being a total cat person myself, I can sypathize with your story. My fisrt cat died of renal failure at 14.

Gravatar Thank you for your story. I have a cat (Jake) that has become a very important part of my life too. I hope when he gets to the point where I have to make the decisions you had to make I handle it as well.

Gravatar Beautiful post. I recently posted the story of the two dogs in my life (I now have two cats)... it never gets easy to say goodbye to pets, and I dread the day I have to say goodbye to one of my boys.

Here's my story: http://rcktman.blogspot.com/2004...rky- treats.html Similar in many ways.

Gravatar Oh Lee...my heart goes out to you. We're having to go through all of that right now. Shanny is still not out of the woods now on day 5 of her therapy. I have to keep asking the same questions; how long do we go? how much pain is she in? WHEN do we turn the corner? I've been reading night and day about canine pancreatitis and most of what I've read has not been optimistic. I'll keep going and long as they tell me she continues to fight. If it comes to pass that she won't get through this, I'll bring her home and the vet promised to come here and give her the shot while we're all surrounding her with love. I just don't want the hospital to be her last memory. I can't help but wish that we'd had 10 more years with her before this happened. I know your sweet feline friend loved you as much as you loved her and appreciated all that you did for her. Whenever you decide to open your heart and home again to another pet, that will be one lucky creature.
