I totally remember Boy George being the only gay icon when I was in school. Then I go to college in CA and am showered with other gay people to look up, down at. I don't exactly recall how I looked them. Maybe I just leered at them if they looked yummy to me.

I agree with the state of the gay community as well. I'm just afraid that if I don't have a flat stomach and nice arms, my big head will be my only defining feature.

that interview from jay was right on the money ... there is a big clonefest attitude in much of the gay culture. ...

i've found much better diversity (thankfully)within the gay blogger community ..
