She's not exactly jazz but maybe look for some Elaine Stritch.

I'm not terribly familiar with jazz, but some artists that come to mind: Peggy Lee, Diane Schur, Lena Horne, Frank Sinatra, Harry Connick Jr., Diana Krall

Thanx all! Many great suggestions! I won't do Sinatra since my 'rents have several of his CD's already so they have him coming outta their ears (NPI) I'll check out the others to see what songs iTunes as listed for them.

A personal fave of mine is Ella Fitzgerald's version of "These Foolish Things." It was the song I WANTED to dance with my mother at my wedding, but for some godawful reason she really, really wanted to dance to "Sunrise, Sunset." God, I hate that fucking song.

Diana Krall - look for Live à Paris (esp Let's Fall in Love, I Love Being Here with You and the heartbreaking A Case of You) Oh oh, Eva Cassidy - don't forget her.
