Wow that was a cool story. How nice you got a bag full of family goodies. Maybe you scan some and post them.
How great that you got the pictures, Lee! And the stories to go with them. I see family pictures all the time at estate sales and swap meets, and feel sad that they can't be with their relatives. If there's a name and location on the back, I usually buy them and try to reunite the pictures with surviving family. Sometimes I am successful, and if not I have "adopted" ancestors (VBG) to add to my old photo collection.
