Rush, Hannity and Coulter are playing you blue collar dupes like a fiddle by stroking your fears and prejudices. The rest of America has moved on. Alabama (does it even have a left? Left of what???) continues its legacy of bringing up the rear.

I don't know whether I count as a "liberal" — my feet aren't quivering — but I am critical of Rush Limbaugh, and my opinion is based on many hours of hearing his show in the company of friends and family who are regular listeners.
I should mention, I'm also critical of liberal friends who rail against Limbaugh as if he were the spawn of Satan. They don't seem to realize that the more they go on about him, the more they help him build and keep his audience.
I am surprised that you associate Rush with the cardinal virtues. Does he ever admit that he was wrong, as a just man would certainly have to do at least once a year or so? I've never known him to do it, but perhaps he did when I wasn't listening. Temperance is a virtue he has struggled with, as you know. Modesty is an aspect of temperance, and Rush's whole "excellence" shtick is profoundly at variance with that. You can say it's all in good fun, and I won't argue with you. But does it present a model of Christian virtue? I don't see how.
You describe Rush as being opposed to the mainstream media (MSM), and that is certainly how he presents himself. But the MSM also build him up, as they did when he was encouraging Republicans to vote for H. Clinton in the Democratic primary last year. I thought it was one of R.L.'s sillier ideas, but MSM attention helped make it into a news phenomenon. Frankly, a case could be made that attacks from the MSM do as much as anything to strengthen R.L.'s audience.
Does Rush say what he sincerely believes? I can't read his mind or heart, so I'm unprepared to say yes or no. But it seems most plausible to me that he says what he predicts will keep his audience listening. Can you blame him? The man is an entertainer. When we make him into an oracle (or an archenemy), we don't, in my opinion, do our republic any favors.
So I respectfully differ with your view.

Interestingly, observe the personnal lives of the lib hate mongers. They cannot debate only spew lies ans slander. One gets further insight when you notice how meritless their lives are. Libs are very bitter people who can only cope wih a competitive world by taking from the citizens who work rather than take feather bed government or union jobs.
Libs typically have broken homes with children who never mature due to lack of adequate parenting. life that has passed them bying. Their vieling faces reveal their bitterness at a life that has passed them by.
Esentially, the core of any libs existance is a hatred of God. Where an all controlling government is their idol. But of course everyone knows that fact.
