Gravatar Great interview with Friedman. He was a beacon of reasoned light in a world darkened by big government do-gooders.

Gravatar It's really worth watching the whole 30 minutes, too. I didn't catch the date of the interview - probably 1960-something - but every single argument Friedman made then is still relevant today.

Want to know why Social Security is a bad idea? Or how welfare and social services actually hurt the poor? How the minimum wage does more harm than good? Then watch this interview.

Gravatar What happened to the really long third comment?

Gravatar N/m. I might have been thinking of the CON post below.

Gravatar Take a look a what his policy's did throughout the southern cone of south america. Chile,Argentina, etc. Ever heard of Pinochet?

Gravatar Yes, I have heard of Pinochet, and I'm well aware of the remarkable progress that free-market economics brought to his country.

Chile's economy was one of the strongest in South America during Pinochet's reign, and that remains the case today. Whatever Pinochet's faults, and he had many, his economic legacy has made Chile one of the most prosperous nations in that part of the world. You should do a little more reading.
