Well said. I was given an email to the Wonkette story and reacted similiarly. It was just mean, and I wanted no part of it. I guess I should've called them on it like you did.
I do attack Sessions, and I can even be mean about it. But I try to keep it to professional criticism, not hurtful name-calling.
