Lol, very nice article by Guardian.

Actualy I agree, sign me up to any other particular kind of neoconservative libertarianism )))

Got to read the Grauniad to believe it.
Yet there it is in B/W.
The really strange thing is that the author says all those things as if they are BAD, which implies that he is one of those boring socialists who blinker themselves in waves of terror while speaking to an imaginary and dwindling audience, all the while hoping that the fillibuster effect of their droning will block out the truth.
I did not like Facebook, until I realised that every bit of personal information is voluntary, and just because they ask for it doesn't mean you have to give them it.

Indeed.
At first I considered signing up as Col. Erasmus Cripen-Volestrangler (Ret.) or as some other of my many aliases, but then I realised that would be contrary to the whole purpose of the enterprise: to link up and connect with people who actually know me - vaguely - by my real name.
Furthermore the personal info I do give is one anyone could find out with a bit of an effort or borders on trite and consequently is of no use to anyone.
I actually couldn't bring myself to read the whole Guardian thing, the mind reels.
