Lenin’s Tomb

Welcome to the desert of the (perfected) Spectacle:

"In fact, we are all Israelis now."

http:// article.nationalreview.co...zQzM2MzNzdiNDc=

Who "we"? Not the Lebanese, for example, nor the 90% of the world's population that rejects this War on Terror.

Five years after we all became Americans, The Axis of Something (US - Britain - Europe - Israel) has stopped even making much of an effort to "catapult the propaganda". The barrage of lies is now only barely covering up the painfully obvious; and what's coming up next, as the US Energy Secretary tells us, is "a very emotional situation"

More from our friend Vincent La Placa, the Labour Party's candidate in Hackney, and hoping for a seat in parliament:

"Even if the Lebanese do not turn against Hezbollah (and there must be millions of Druze, Sunnis and Maronites who have), the fact is the infrastructure needs complete desolation as 50% has currently been destroyed. What is needed is a final mass ground attack which I believe is being prepared. The nuclear solution to Iran must remain on the cards. If it doesn't, it will eventually come to you and me, and all your talk of fall out and winds will not just be theoretical."

Prescotts gone.

ITN - haven't seen that on any noos yet. Well done for breaking a Tomb exclusive.

tony - Please tell me this isn't real.

Is this the same Vincent La Placa?:

With views like that, Vincent "the rabid zionist/racist", should find a good home with his chums in NuLab. He might even make it high in their ranks.

Lenin - totally real. I can't give URLs cos it's from a forum-based website which is members-only, which I get sent stuff from. I used to be a member and various friends still are. I'm gonna re-join so I can pull my own screen-shots - although he's hardly shy about having these views.

He is an out-and-out fascist, and it's quite scary that he got accepted as a Labour candidate...

And yeah, that looks like the same bloke from the google cache.

"I'm gonna re-join so I can pull my own screen-shots - although he's hardly shy about having these views."

Please do, and Lenin can you post those screenshots.

"in which all of human purpose and endeavour by those not part of the white European colony is reduced to a projected barbarism"

The racist projections are as egregious as skin colour prejudice, but not actually about skin colour, I dont think anything to do with skin colour goes through the minds of the general westerner and journalist who project the paranoid fantasys on to 'teh barbaric middle easteeeerrrn muslimz'.

Many Jews, though not so much the Ashkenazi, retain a thoroughly semitic appearence, i.e off white skin tanning to a nut brown colour.

Tell Israel what you think of them here:-

feedback@mofa.gov.il

My response from them is here:-

Israel regrets the loss of innocent lives. Israel does not target civilians, yet is forced to take decisive action against Hizbullah, a ruthless terrorist organization which has over 12,000 missiles pointing towards its cities. Israel, like any other country, must protect its citizens, and has no choice but to remove this grave threat to the lives of millions of innocent civilians. Had Hizbullah not established such a missile force, Israel would have no need to take action, and had Hizbullah chosen to set up its arsenal away from populated areas, no civilians would have been hurt when Israel does what it obviously must do. The responsibility for the tragic situation lies solely with the Hizbullah.

La Placa (I bet we're all Googling away) appears to work for something called the Policy Research Bureau which as far as I can see is a perfectly legitimate body. The same adjectival phrase cannot be used about his views. Can I recommend somebody calls Red Pepper or similar?

Googled him yesterday. Had vague feeling - the name being unusual - he's also involved in the board or management of a London housing association, but nothing on Google. I'd be particularly interested to know if he was.

Is he actually the Parliamentary candidate? I could find nothing to say so.

No, he's not the P'mentary candidate, though he seems to have told Tony he wants to be selected as one. He managed to get through a council selection procedure - though this is not the hurdle it once was, shall we say.

So he's just hoping to be a councillor?

Lucky old him. Lucky old Hackney.

A similar quote about -

David Ben Gurion, Report to the World Council of Poale Zion (the forerunner of the Labor Party), Tel Aviv, 1938. Cited by Israel Shahak, Journal of Palestine Studies, Spring 1981.

"We should prepare to go over to the offensive. Our aim is to smash Lebanon, Trans-Jordan, and Syria. The weak point is Lebanon, for the Moslem regime is artificial and easy for us to undermine. We shall establish a Christian state there, and then we will smash the Arab Legion, eliminate Trans-Jordan; Syria will fall to us. We then bomb and move on and take Port Said, Alexandria, and Sinai."

Heavy stuff.

I think the world's worst front page award has just been won by this evening's London newspaper the Evening Standard. The headline is 'Human Sandbags', Note the quotation marks indicating (kind of) that it's a quote from someone. Inside we discover that it's a quote from Amos Oz who 'fears' that Hiz. are using civilians as shields. Not are using them as shields but 'fears'. The huge picture on the front page is of a man carrying a dying child, blood etc and something about x number of civilians dead.

The implication of the whole, is that this bloke is carrying a child who has been used as a human sandbag. ONly after much picking do we discover that this is a hunch from a 'left' (ahem ahem) zionist Amos Oz from his vantage point in Israel.

Incredible. Incredible. Incredible.

Thanks for digging up the Ben Gay quotes.

Visionary dreams are not an insubstantial component to understanding the collective psyche of Israel and the behaviour its instituions generate.

But they'd never have undertaken this latest adventure unless it was integrated into a larger plan that included the follow up of direct US military engagement.

Or rather, if the US never had an agenda for the area and a military plan to push it then the Israelis would never have made this their latest move...cuz it's simply hairbrained from a strategic perspective and it is not armchair generals calling the shots despite what anyone has to say about Olmert the comb-over pansy ass.

I think Israel's current activities are an integral part of the pending direct hit on Iran and Israel is playing the role assigned it to a T.

Israel is a bad guy in all this, and we are even worse.

ZIONIST GOT ALL THEIR IDEAS FROM BRITISH IMPERIALIST. THE BRITISH WANTED TO DISPLACE THE PALESTINIANS AS WELL BACK AS IN 1917. THE PROBLEM WITH YOU BRITISH IMPERIALIST IS YOU CAN@T FACE UP TO YOUR IMPERIALIST AND COLONIALIST PAST. WHAT I@M SAYING IS THE ISRAEL IS JUST AS MUCH A ZIONIST ISEA AS IT IS A BRITISH ONE> WHY DOESN@T ANYONE AMONGST THE BRITISH SO-CALLED LEFT FACE UPTO THIS FACT.

And wasn't the particular selection of picture to go with headline (limp, sack-like, dead child) sick?

We must rage through the streets of London and other cities tomorrow.

I am a bit puzzled about that BG quote. Firstly, because the date given is 1938, when Lebanon and Syria were still under French colonial rule.
Lebanon never became a "Muslim state" -it was Christian-dominated.
Then again, the Zionists did not have an airforce in 1938 so would have had to deliver any bombs by hand.
Oh, and a small point, The Poale Zion faction to which Ben Gurion belonged had already been led by him into a merger with other groups to form Ahdut Ha'avodah (Unity of Labour) in about 1920. So while the Israeli government certainly developed a policy of backing the Maronite Right in Lebanon long before the 1970s civil war and 1982 invasion, somehow this quote appears a bit dodgy. I don't think Israel Shahak would have made it up, but perhaps it has been translated back and forth too often and got changed by Chinese whispers in the process.
I can think of plenty to slam Ben Gurion and his party with, including the visit he made to Poland about that time promising the right-wing colonels to help remove their "Jewish problem", but somehow I think you have been landed with some dud ammunition.

Just looking again and I see this refers to the World Union of Poale Zion, not the Israeli party, so that bit might be genuine as the overseas affiliates kept the name (including PZ in the UK Labour Party which has arrogated for itself the title "the Jewish Labour movement" (though in the real Jewish labour movement the Zionists were but a small minority).
However, on another point, the Arab League which is mentioned was a post-1945 British-backed creation. So the 1938 date looks a bit odd. Could it be this was 1948?
