Dear'st Leslie, I so enjoy hearing about your plans -- school, cooking, vacation, whatEVER !!! -- you just have a gift for Making Plans Sound Interesting and Doable. Maybe i need to send you MY list of 'wish i could get this accomplished' and let you describe MY plans here on your blog and maybe that would be as inspirational to me as YOUR plans are!
I love all your Technical Touches, too -- as in all those nifty little notes of identification in the photo. HOW in the world do you do that? I'm praying for you and Mike and the wonderful Boling Bunch as you begin another year of Life Education. [What is Ryan doing this year? I truly HAVEN'T forgotten that he graduated and he WILL hear from me before the Rapture, i trust.]

Leslie,
Sounds like your school year will be a fruitful one.
I have to organize my shelves this weekend in preparation for our start next Tuesday.
You haven't done a simple joys list a while. Or maybe I missed it.
Yes, what is your oldest doing this year?

Your plans sound healthy, reasonable, and very well thought-out. I know this new "school" year will be a success.

Ah, thank you for your sweet comments! And thank you for not giving up on me. I have had a hard summer (a lot of pain from a frozen shoulder) and have not felt much like writing here...or really doing much of anything. I should do a simple joys post...that always adjusts my attitude when I feel down.
I will have to write a post about Ryan. I just ordered his school books for a college and they are MOST unusual. College has sure changed since I was there.

Prayers for your school year AND for your frozen shoulder! OUCHIE --I 'feel your pain', having had one of those myself and they are NO fun. And I'm still hoping for a Mini-tutorial on those Labels in the Picture! *smile* [no pressure, mind you!]

Dearest Ann,
Did your frozen shoulder ever heal? What did you do for it? I am dying here and PT has only helped a little.
For the labels I opened the picture in paint and used the text box to type. You can make the background transparent with a click of a button (at the bottom of the paint tool bar, I think) and there you have it!
Hugs to you...and if you have any wisdom on this shoulder I am all ears. It isn't even my shoulder that hurts any more. It is a traveling pain. :p

Leslie, I just love this post! Every bit of it is nice to read, and there's lots of wisdom here. It was fun to see your pictures, too. I could look at photos of books all day. Love the nifty labeling you did on the one... I'm far, far from being able to figure out that kind of thing.
I'll have to check here more often because it looks like you're posting a bit more again. That's a happy thing!
Susan
