beautiful Leslie! I love the pink and purple. ANd your GREEN lawn is to die for!! It's so green! Can't wait for our lawn to thaw out a little more and cut some grass, maybe in another week or two.
I love your background as well.
Just wanted to say hello and I loved reading your spring notes and simple joys!
Love,
Debbie

Thanks for sharing springtime from your backyard. It sounds lovely!

hi Leslie! your flowers are beautiful. i have finally begun the preparations for a small herb and tomato garden and a little bed of flowers/plants along part of our fence, but the rain and a broken toe have halted my efforts. wish i'd gotten everything in the ground before all this crazy rain! may I ask what the pink and white flowers are, please? I'm hoping to achieve sort of a "cottage garden" look with my plants, but I love things which will stay evergreen and cheer up the sparse winter months. any suggestions for HARDY and happy plants for the gardening-challenged girl?

Hi ya'll. Thanks for stopping by. I know I haven't been a good blogger so am always surprised to see anyone still reading.

Tricia, I honestly can't remember what those flowers are. I have mostly perennials...and they don't stay green (my bushes do! ha!). And then, because the perennials have to be so far apart I like to toss in a various seeds or pansies or whatever to fill in.

A neat place to go if you haven't been is Shades of Green in Frisco.

I bought some texas hardy plants there last year (things that don't need a ton of water). I like perennials because they come back which saves me money and time, and most of what I planted blooms all summer. I am not sure what to plan that stays green all year...other than evergreen bushes. Rosemary stays green if it is protected to some degree and doesn't die.

I'm sorry about your toe!
